About Dr. Rashida Tharpe
I grew up on the vibrant Caribbean island of Jamaica, where we have a saying, “Wi likkle but wi tallawah,” which means “we are small but we are mighty.” These words embody the strength and resilience that shaped my upbringing, along with the unwavering support of my family. I set my sights on a career of service early on, driven by these values. I completed my medical training at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and today, as a physician with over a decade of experience, I reflect on my journey that began in hospital medicine. I witnessed firsthand the devastating health crises that, in many cases, could have been prevented. It became clear to me that those motivated to reverse their conditions often lacked the proper support. I knew I could make a greater impact by dedicating my career to preventative medicine, helping to reverse chronic diseases, inflammation, and obesity. With this mission, I launched a campaign to empower people with the knowledge and tools they need to reclaim their health, achieve longevity, and improve their quality of life. My passion is rooted in compassion and a firm belief that everyone deserves to thrive starting with their most important asset, their health. I also believe that everyone deserves a chance at reversing chronic disease and getting to the root cause of disease.
